THS employees in the North West should receive an email and a SMS about the announcements from the department. In addition to this, workers will be contacted by phone by a return to work coordinator.
We still expect that supervisors and managers will keep in contact with workers to make sure they’re coping as best they can and to ensure there are discussions about returning to work.
If you work with THS in the North West and have not been contacted, you should attempt to contact your manager.
The secretary has also requested that all employees take a further test for the virus prior to returning to work. We encourage workers to take the test to ensure your own safety and that of your co-workers.
You should not return to work after quarantine until you have had a discussion with your manager, or you are directed to return. You will continue to be paid as normal.
If you have concerns about any advice you get in your workplace, particularly if it contradicts advice from public health officials or us, you can discuss that with our team at HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or assist@hacsu.org.au
Thanks for all the vital work you do helping your fellow Tasmanians – you are champions!
