We’re aware that Family Based Care are currently reviewing staff rosters. That means your rosters may be changed, but you shouldn’t be negatively affected by the changes, as said by FBC Acting Chief Operating Officer Peter McDougall:
"We are currently reviewing all our rosters. The central purpose of this review is to give you less travel time between clients and to make your workday more efficient. This has the added bonus of staff being able to support more clients and spend less time in the car. This is a win-win situation for both you and our clients. We are doing this in consultation with clients as well as staff. Please be assured that we will not be changing your roster unnecessarily i.e. removing clients from your roster, unless we can replace them. You should not be disadvantaged in any way by these changes."
Peter also said the process would take 4 to 6 weeks. It is okay for FBC to change your rosters for operational requirements if you agree to the changes, and the changes may well be a great outcome for you. But if you are not being consulted and are, in fact, disadvantaged by the changes, you should contact HACSUassist for advice and support.
