It’s never easy walking off the job, no matter what some may say.

When you work in an area as important as Child Safety, it doesn’t matter what role you’re in, you provide a critical service to the most vulnerable and you know what it means to not be at work, but on Wednesday, inaction by Premier Rockliff and his government led to the majority of workers saying enough is enough.

The action you took is a strong message to the government that they have to listen to the solutions you’ve put forward and must deliver a real strategy to fix the crisis your service is facing.
      
This is something you all should be proud to be a part of and you deserve massive congratulations for standing up for the children you support, for their future and for a safe work environment.
