We’re still waiting.

It’s been over three weeks since child safety workers met with the Premier but, despite his commitment to respond to the absolute service crisis we’ve heard nothing.

We can stand by no longer while Child Safety and the Advice and Referral Line are critically under-resourced and children reported at risk of neglect or abuse are not getting the support they need and deserve.

The service continues to decline with more staff leaving. Every day without action is another day closer to a collapse of the service altogether.

It’s unacceptable that the government seem to be able to find time to blow its own trumpet and chase pies in the sky but can’t find time to deal with this crisis.

You have committed to doing whatever it takes to fix the service, and it’s time to take strong action to force the Premier and his government to respond!

Come along to one of the half-day strikes from 12 noon on Wednesday 5 October – let’s make some noise.

South

  • Leave St John’s Park, wave signs on the street and snap rally at the ABC roundabout. The bus will leave St John’s Park around 12.10pm and arrive back at SJP at 1.45pm. Members will be instructed to leave for the day after the action as a part of the half-day strike.

North

  • Leave Cameron Street around 12.10pm and walk to Civic Square to talk to community members about your services. Members will be instructed to leave for the day after the action as a part of the half-day strike.

 North West
