We've notified Corumbene that HACSU members have overwhelmingly rejected their appalling wage offer of 1.75% and we've urged them to revisit it as it's not fair or reasonable and not competitive with other organisations.
The Corumbene Agreement isn’t generous and, in some cases, wages are already below what's legally allowed - this is called wage theft and they've been doing it for nearly 12 months.
EA Classification Weekly rate difference between award & EA
Services and ECA Level 2 $1.59
Services Level 3 $1.49
ECA Level 4 $1.67
ECA Level 5 $0.55
It may not be a fortune, but it is workers' hard-earned money and it's not Corumbene's to keep.
In the next fortnight’s pay run, members will receive back pay from the first full pay period from 1 July 2019 if they're one of the workers affected by the underpayment.
This is a base pay underpayment, so when you factor in shift penalties and OT rates, the difference will be much higher.
If anyone needs more information, please contact HACSU on 1300 880 032 and ask to speak to Sharon.
