Improved wage offer for first year.

We met with Corumbene management and their industrial advocate again last week to continue bargaining for your new general agreement.
 
Management gave us an in-principle offer with a better wage increase in the first year and the final year, including the promise of backpay if you vote Yes:

  • 3-year agreement
  • 1st year: 2.2% wage increase (July 2020)
  • 2nd year: 2.5% wage increase (July 2021)
  • 3rd year: 2.25% wage increase (July 2022)
  • Backpay to apply from first full pay period July 2020
  • Good faith early payment after a Yes vote, before Fair Work agreement approval

We've asked them to consider a wage increase of 2.5% instead of 2.25% in the third year.

Corumbene have said the opportunity to get backpay to you before Christmas has passed and they intend to have your agreement out for you to vote on in early January.

There are some technical wording changes being finalised, but they won’t affect your overall terms and conditions.
