Not much progress on staff agreement.

We met with Corumbene management last week to bargain for the new staff agreement but, unfortunately, we didn’t get very far.

We agreed to meet every three weeks - probably by Zoom meetings but depending on the COVID situation there may be the potential to meet face to face soon - and that the best way to move forward with bargaining will be to divide the meeting time between the non-nursing and nurses agreements.

Again, we told management that the 1.75% is totally unacceptable and asked them to rethink.

So far, management have rejected all members' claims and only agreed to a casual conversion clause.

We’ve asked them to either:

Move on the 1.75% wages offer to something much better

    OR

Agree to some of the claims and make a decent wage offer

We asked them to come back with options for members to consider and Corumbene said they'll have something in writing for us and we expect to see that in a couple of weeks, and we'll visit members to talk about the options once this has happened.
