Returning to the new normal.

After the pandemic hit, some employers limited their services, changed their hours or shut down for several weeks or in some cases indefinitely – and now that we're starting to see a slow return to a new normal some have come up with an entirely new way of delivering their services.

Some members may find the return challenging, but they can reach out to us if there are issues in their workplace that they're not comfortable with, or just want to vent.

There's also information about the community, aged care, disability and health services sectors posted regularly on our HACSU website and Facebook page, which are updated on a regular basis so members can keep in touch with what’s going on in their workplace or workplaces that provide similar services.

In the community services sector, it can be challenging for organisers to meet up with members given their challenging and valuable work in the community and varied shifts, so having a go-to person like a union delegate or an activist at the workplace helps us keep on top of what’s happening, especially with COVID-19 and its many issues.
