Community care delegates are vital

There's so much going on with COVID-19 lately.

The pandemic means it may be some time until we get to see members in person, but we hope everyone's keeping well.

We know that media attention has been focused on the North West Regional Hospital lately, but we know those working in the community providing at-home care to their customers are doing it tough too, and HACSU is doing whatever we can to bring their issues to the forefront with the powers that be.

It can be challenging for organisers to meet up with members working in home care given all the different days of the week and shifts people work, not to mention how busy everyone is.

Having a go-to person like a union delegate or an activist in workplaces helps us keep on top of what’s happening, especially now with the virus and its many issues.

If any member wants to put their name forward to be a delegate or activist or if you want more information, please contact us.

Remember, members are the union! Becoming a delegate or activist means workplaces are more involved, more connected, and makes it easier for us to be of help.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
