We met with DCT Directors from the different service areas yesterday.

We’ve been having regular catch ups during the pandemic and these meetings give us a chance to raise issues directly with managers and discuss how any changes are being managed or reviewed.

We raised concerns that workers have brought to us, the main one being safety, in particular for work that occurs in the community.

We understand some work has been done in this area, with planning for staged return to work in all areas already begun, and we’ll continue to discuss what the services will look like and how they'll be delivered as the restrictions hopefully continue to ease over the coming weeks - anyone with any concerns about their safety at work should raise them with their manager immediately.

We're having a statewide HACSU delegates meeting next week to talk though any concerns, so members should talk to the delegate in their area if there’s something they'd like discussed - members unsure who their HACSU delegate is or who want to know more about becoming the delegate in their area, please get intouch.

Anyone with concerns about any advice they get in the workplace, particularly if it contradicts advice from public health officials or us, can discuss that with our team at HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or assist@hacsu.org.au

We thank members for all the vital work they do helping their fellow Tasmanians!

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
