We need to talk more about this

We know that yesterday you were as surprised as anyone by the Premier’s announcement that the Department of Communities Tasmania will be disbanded, and we still want to know exactly what it all means.

We all want answers about what will happen to the essential services under Communities that everyone knows aren't delivering what they could and should for Tasmanians.

We’re especially keen to know what this means for the government’s much-heralded Youth Justice reforms, given this will be the first time in modern history Tasmania will not have a dedicated government department that deals with the most vital of services.

Organisers will be out and about over coming days to talk to you, and we’ll follow up with two state-wide membership meetings next Thursday and Friday to answer as many questions as we can.

Keep an eye on your inbox for further details.

Once we know more, we’ll let you know.
