How many hours did you do for sleepovers?

Your workplace agreement is clear that your sleepover shifts consist of 8 hours.

However, several workers at Coast Residential Service contacted us recently saying that they’ve been rostered to do 8 and a half hour sleepovers and, in some instances, up to 9 hours.

If this is the case, then you should be entitled to backpay for the extra time worked.

If you’d like us to look into this further, and if you currently do or you’ve ever been rostered to do sleepovers for longer than 8 hours, please let us know via HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or assist@hacsu.org.au

Whilst we go to work and trust that what we are being paid is correct, sometimes your employer can make mistakes, which may never get corrected unless we ask the questions. So, if you are doing sleepovers above 8 hours, then let us ask the questions for you

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
