Going out for ballot soon.

There has been much back and forth with CHT to get the agreement ready, but now it’s finally your chance to vote on their final offer:

  • Buddy allowance of $1 per hour when buddying new staff
  • Increase afternoon shift penalty to 15%
  • Increase night shift allowance to 17.5%
  • 5 days of paid family and domestic violence leave
  • 3-year agreement
  • 2.25% wage increase or FWC wage increase whichever is greater in 2021, 2% or FWC increase in 2022 and 2% or FWC increase in 2023

The voting access period will start Monday 1 August, with postal votes express posted on Friday 5 August if you request one, and you’ll be able to vote in person at Snug on Tuesday 9 August in the afternoon and Hawthorn Village on Wednesday 10 August in the morning. The ballot count will take place at 1pm and I’ll update you once we receive the outcome.
