A physical requires reasonable grounds

We’ve heard that some staff are applying for other roles within the facility and that when changing roles Baptcare may incorrectly ask you to complete a physical assessment as part of that process.

A current employee with a contract of employment who’s just changing roles within the facility doesn’t have to have a physical assessment, although a new employee may have to as part of their conditions of employment.

The only exception is if Baptcare has reasonable grounds to think you may have capacity issues and has written to you outlining their concerns.
