We’ve had to give some small ground in relation to Time Credit, which was to be TOIL with a new clause based on the HAHSA but will now be exactly as it was, but this won’t really affect terms and conditions - same thing, different name, slightly different access and payout rules - but really it’s like arguing about the colour of a car (I said I didn’t want a black one).
AT has committed to renewing and refreshing the published Time Credit policy to make it clear about how to access TC and how the cross ‘business unit borders’ issue can be properly considered so, hopefully, this will clarify timelines on applications and when you can be rejected and what appeal rights you may have if denied TC Leave.
Hopefully we’ll have some positive news in the next day or so about the application going to the TIC for approval.
We can’t thank you enough for your patience and work securing this deal,especially the bargaining team who represented you to their best abilities –they’ve been brilliant and I was very glad they were supporting me.
I expect the application to be made this week and, although approval would normally take about a week, there may be some delays because of the Easter public holidays.
The new rates will apply from the first full pay period after TIC approval, and the back pay to Dec 2019 will take 6 to 8 weeks to calculate so you should have that in your bank account by mid-year.
