Hi, please read the attached joint statement about changing the Regional Duty Managers into a 24/7 coverage model.

It was inevitable that this would occur, in fact for about the last 5 years it's what HACSU has been suggesting to achieve better supervision and help for frontline workers on night shifts.

It was unexpected that the decision would be made extremely quickly and without initial consultation, and the day we met with AT was the day the position went 24/7 in the north west.

There will no doubt be some transitional issues that happen during night shifts, so please let us know if any concerns arise.

As for COVID-19, the world is in constant change, so if you have concerns about COVID-19 responses, WHS issues, information flow, procedure changes etc please contact your delegate directly in the first instance to discuss your concerns.

Things are changing multiple times a day and nobody can really control that, and don’t forget to use the SRLS system as a way of reporting issues.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Chris Kennedy via HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or chris.kennedy@hacsu.org.au
