If you're called to a meeting...

We understand there are a lot of new faces in the Anglicare management team and that members are now reporting to new management personnel in various areas of the organisation, so we wanted to give you a heads up about their rights at work as an employee.

If you are called to a meeting with your manager, or even if you’re just called in to the office for an “informal chat”, do not go without a HACSU organiser! Call HACSUassist immediately on 1300 880 032.

You have the right as an employee to have all the information or agenda items before you attend any meeting so that you’re fully informed about what’s going to be discussed and can provide an accurate response to whatever it is that management want to talk about.

Remember an informal chat or an off the record chat with members of your management team may result in action being taken against you, so be very careful about what you say and to whom. If in doubt, call us immediately.

Now is the time to make sure all your colleagues are members of the union! A strongly unionised workplace offers the best protection for workers and gives you more of a voice on your working conditions. HACSU membership also includes free Professional Indemnity Malpractice Insurance along with a whole host of other member benefits.

If you would like more information, please call us on 1300 880 032.

For more information about this or any other industrial matter, members should contact HACSUassist on 1300 880 032 or email assist@hacsu.org.au or complete our online contact form
