The Fair Work Commission has dismissed Anglicare's application to have the new agreement approved.

The Fair Work Commission dismissed Anglicare’s application to have your agreement approved yesterday because the Commission believed that Anglicare did not pass the Better Off Overall Test.

HACSU have since spoken with Anglicare and they have agreed to come back to the bargaining table as soon as possible to talk about how the benefits we’ve already negotiated can be included in a new agreement to take back to the Commission.

We will make sure your agreement features the full range of improved benefits we’ve already locked in.

The Fair Work Commission also said that the Anglicare Agreement will have to provide a 10-hour break between shifts.

Moving forward from today Anglicare have confirmed they will provide staff with additional Parental Leave and Family Violence Leave as they agreed to in the bargaining process.

This will immediately increase your Parental Leave from 6 weeks to 12 weeks, and Family Violence Leave from 7 days to 20 days.

We will keep you up to date as the situation develops. If you have an questions in the meantime, you can contact HACSUassist on 1300 880032 or assist@hacsu.org.au
