Patterns of work will be sorted out.

Earlier this week we met with Able’s national manager for employee relations and local HR to hash out the perennial issue of your pattern of work for permanent part-time employees once and for all.

Your 'pattern of work' is the regular number of hours you work each week, the days you work and the start and finish times.

It’s meant to be locked in before you start working for Able and gives you more security about when you work so you can plan your life accordingly.

While some Able workers have a valid pattern of work in place, others don’t – and this has been an issue for quite a while.

We’ve finally reached an agreement with Able about the rollout to ensure that everyone has a pattern of work.

We’ll start in the North, and then extend the rollout across the state.

Good on you for sticking to your guns on this. It’s important, and it’s great news that we are moving forward.
