Been asked to become an SDSW?

We’ve heard concerns from staff about Able Australia management asking people to become a Senior Disability Support Worker (SDSW) whether they want to or not.

There isn’t anything in the current staff agreement that provides for SDSWs and that’s a big problem, with Able appearing to make it up as they go along, as it means staff have no guarantees or security.

We want to hear ASAP from anyone who is an SDSW or who has been approached by management or asked to be one.

Remember that back in March we kicked off bargaining for a new agreement, so if Able wants a new role it needs be legitimate and included in your agreement.

We’ve got another meeting this month so any information will help us sort it out.
